Our History
Kuvaldaru® Tools was founded by a group of tool enthusiasts and inventors who were frustrated by the lack of quality, affordable tools on the market. We started out small, selling a few hand tools and basic power tools online. However, we quickly realized that DIYers, homesteaders, tradespeople, and farmers were looking for something different – tools that combined clever design, rugged durability, and real-world usability.
In our first year in business, we released our flagship product, the Kuvaldaru Multi-Cutter, which combined the functions of an electric drill, jigsaw, sander, and more into one versatile tool. The overwhelming positive response from our customers motivated us to keep improving and expanding our catalog.
Over the next few years, we debuted tools like the Kuvaldaru Power Wrench, Variable-Speed Metal Drill Press, and 200-Piece Mechanics Tool Set. Our catalog grew to include wheelbarrows, saws, wrenches, hydraulic jacks, welding equipment, and more.
In 2021, we opened our first retail storefront location right here in Lebanon, Kansas. Now customers can stop by to test out our tools for themselves before taking them home. Founder & CEO – Mike Harrell
Mike combined his passion for tools with his entrepreneurial spirit when founding Kuvaldaru® in 2015. He’s assembled a talented team and nurtured a culture focused on serving customers. Though the company has grown considerably, Mike still reviews each product design.
Lead Engineer – Deb Peterson
Deb oversees our team of mechanical and design engineers who conceptualize and test new product ideas. She draws on her 30+ years of manufacturing experience to turn innovative designs into reality. Deb also evaluates equipment investments for our American factories.
Customer Service Manager – Diane Hayes
Diane keeps her finger on the pulse of the customer experience. She manages our stellar customer service team to promptly handle any product issues, shipping concerns, or general questions. Diane’s feedback helps us continuously improve.
